Lines, Shapes, and Things Like That (assignment)

This picture is the cover of one of the Scott Pilgrim comic books.
I picked this one because I remembered how the covers for the books always had little designs in the background like this.  The bright(ish) colors could have something to do with the amount of activity in the series or something. all the covers have bright colors and simple designs like stripes and circley things.













This one has the camera at the right distance and angle to make it look cool.  so...it's using depth or something, I suppose.
doesn't make me want perrier, though.
Either way, this seems to be a popular appoach to advertising. Which makes sense, because this does look cool.







This one uses symmetry and lines to make it look neat.  People tend to like those things.
