Quotes (new)

I only used one quote this time (one of the origional ones). the design is still simple, but this time it uses the text, allignment, and colors to add effect.
look at it!

Spiral!

were we supposed to put something that means something in the spiral? does anybody really care? I hope not. I needs the grades.

My Bio-

I had to repost this from my old blog because it failed. -_-
anyway.
Um. I'm Jacquelyne. And....what did I do this summer?.....I went to New York and Washington DC for a wedding. and....for the rest of it I sat around and played video games. I spent most of the time beating Katamari Damacy for the 2nd time. I would've picked a better game, but I've already played all the games we own at least once, and not all of them have a good replay value. oh, I also spent alot of time watching game, movie, and comic reviews. you've never heard of who they're by, but I'll tell you anyway. because I have nothing better to talk about. Most of the movie reviews were by That Guy With the Glasses, the comic ones were by Linkara, and most of the game ones and some of the movie ones were by The Spoony One. so yeah. I had a boring summer. ummm.....ok enough about summer. I.....have....2 rats. and a brother. his name is james and he is 19 and plays guitar in a band and their drummer sucks. not at playing the drums. Just at.....not being a jerk. and....I have a mom. she cross-stiches. I have a dad, too. He's a biomedical engineer and professor at Texas A&M. very fancy. and....I...have a boyfreind. His name is Josh. And I have several posters in my room. If you ask me about them, I'll probably just mumble something nerdy and go back to what I was doing. My brother has more posters than me. and he has better ones. I want an Evil Dead poster. He also has the Necronomicon Ex Mortis. but that's not a poster. it's a book for raising the dead. but he just has a CD case that looks like the real one from the movie. so it's not the real one and you can't summon deadites with it. but if you push on it it screams at you. so yeah.

go away now.

Lines, Shapes, and Things Like That (assignment)

This picture is the cover of one of the Scott Pilgrim comic books.
I picked this one because I remembered how the covers for the books always had little designs in the background like this.  The bright(ish) colors could have something to do with the amount of activity in the series or something. all the covers have bright colors and simple designs like stripes and circley things.

This one has the camera at the right distance and angle to make it look cool.  so...it's using depth or something, I suppose.
doesn't make me want perrier, though.
Either way, this seems to be a popular appoach to advertising. Which makes sense, because this does look cool.

This one uses symmetry and lines to make it look neat.  People tend to like those things.
(this is for IKEA by the way)
